Steven Hayes

Coming from a musical background since childhood, Steven has a deep passion for all genres of music.  Steven holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music and Kinesiology from Douglas College and Capilanou University.

After establishing a classical background in music, Steven wanted to pursue other styles of Music and studied Jazz privately with Robert Doyle for 5 years and afterwards at Capilano University for 2 years studying with Ross Taggert, Brad Turner and Chris Sigurdsson.

Steven has 10 years experience teaching piano, drums and theory to students from beginner to advanced.  He is actively performing at public events and private functions.

Steven believes that music has the ability to bring people together via an universal language and that studying music creates a well-rounded individual with an understanding of cultures around the world

Steven is also a professional golfer. He has won many tournaments.  He believes music and sports compliment each other as they both require a great sense of rhythm and coordination.
